We feel so blessed to be here in Jordan and participate in the work of the Lord in this special area of the world. In the past few months we have been witness to some marvelous things. The members of the Church are becoming stronger and more valiant in their testimonies. The American missionary couples are stepping back and the local leaders are being trained to step up to their responsibilities.
Every member of our new district presidency can speak Arabic. On Saturday a training meeting was held in Amman for all the leaders in the district. Even though the new presidency had only been in place for one week they already had a vision of where they want the district to go. The local leaders participated in the discussion with some excellent comments that demonstrated their knowledge of the gospel principles being taught.
Every leader from the North Jordan Branch attended (we won't mention the incentive of a meal at McDonalds afterward).
